Beginning in 1897 and constructed over the years, the site was populated with structures that reflected the domestic needs and importance of the lighthouse keeper’s duties. In additional to the residence, included at one point were: a privy, boathouse, water supply, fuel storage, generator shed, garage, chicken coop, and an elaborate network of boardwalks and footbridges to provide access along the shore to all the navigational aids on Doubling Point. |
